Information and Referral Services

Information and Referral Services provide outreach, resources and referral to CF families. The focus is to provide information and resources in both official languages to newly arrived CF members and their families to 17 Wing, and CF families at large. Resources include posting information packages, education information and lending library.

The libraries offer great Canadian fiction, parenting resources, education and employment information, deployment resources, books for children and youth, videos and much more.

The Toy Lending Library provides a variety of large toys, camping equipment and membership passes to local family attractions.

Service Goal

• Inform and connect family members to community services and programs

Service Objectives

• Current, relevant information about community services is available in a variety of media.
• Family members are referred, as appropriate, to community services.
• Family members are aware of relevant community services.
• CF families and Reserve Forces are aware of the Military Family Services Program (MFSP) and the services of their local MFRC.
