Family Separation & Reunion
Support Services
Members of the Canadian Forces are required to serve time away from their families for peacekeeping, operations, training exercises, and extended periods of temporary duty associated with military courses, both domestic and overseas. The Winnipeg MFRC recognizes that deployment does not begin when the member leaves, nor does it end when the member returns home. We know that for many, family separation occurs regularly and we understand the physical and emotional demands placed on military families as a result of deployment.
In cooperation with military units, as well as military and community professionals, the Winnipeg MFRC Family Separation & Reunion Support Services connects families of deployed members with services and resources designed to help successfully manage the challenges of family separation and reunion.
