MFRC Childcare Centre
The Military Family Resource Centre Childcare Centre opened its doors in January 2000.
Situated at 630 Wihuri Road (formerly Whytewold Road), close to other 17 Wing amenities, the construction of the MFRC Childcare Centre commenced in May 1999. The centre is licensed to operate for 12 infant spaces (from 6 months to 2 years), 18 spaces for two year old children, 32 spaces for three and four year olds and 40 spaces for five to twelve year olds.
The fees for the centre are set in accordance with the guidelines for the province of Manitoba and are $28.00 for infants and $18.80 per day for preschoolers ($9.40 Part day, if available), school age slots are $5.85 per day for one slot (before or after school) and $8.00 per day for 2 slots (before and after school). These prices are subject to change dependent upon provincial reviews.
If your child will be attending Bannatyne, Strathmillan or Golden Gate schools or Ecole Roméo-Dallaire, arrangements can be made through the school division, to bus the children to and from the centre, as their regular pick up and drop off point.
